About Savannah

Wow it has been a long journey to get here, and to be honest I would have never guessed that I would end up writing a blog. (I don’t think anyone did to be completely frank.) For more background on who I am, what I’m about, and what my professional background is, you can read more Here. For now, I’ll give you the 60-second version of what I’m about:

I am a Registered Nurse passionate about helping those whom the medical system has failed. I am a curious learner who believes in the divine design of our world, our food, and our bodies. I am a recovering dysbiotic human and gut-health guru, an advocate for all things holistic, a self-proclaimed fermentista, and a major foodie. And I am beyond excited to share with you the principles that have helped me heal!

The Nourish and Heal theory on improving health

To start off, I believe that our modern lifestyles and diets don’t align with what our bodies need to perform at their best. However, it’s my theory that we can eat to heal. Especially when we involve ancestral food preparation methods. So, step one is to give our body the nourishing, whole foods that it needs. The next step is to remove poisons and toxins which are silently wreaking havoc on your body. It’s simple: to your life you need to add whole foods and subtract toxins, poisons, and harmful substances.
